Growing Organic Cut Flowers with Willow Wisp Farm

Flower farmer and designer Tannis Kowalchuk of Willow Wisp Organic Farm leads a hands-on introduction to seed starting varieties of cut flowers, with pollinator, succession seeding and flower marketing as a focus. Learn to start a variety of organic flowers for a cut flower garden. Varieties will be discussed and each participant will leave the workshop with a flat of 72 nascent seedlings that will be ready for planting and sharing four weeks from the workshop.

About Tannis Kowalchuk:

Tannis Kowalchuk is a flower farmer, theatre artist and floral designer from Willow Wisp Organic Farm.

Willow Wisp Organic Farm is a 30 acre vegetable farm on the upper Delaware River. 

The farm sells at Grand Army Plaza and Union Square farmers markets in New York City.  

Tannis cultivates two acres of perennial and annual flowers, utilizing certified organic practices.
